From my family and my friends'  experience, I can state that food plays a huge role in the way people travel today and it satisfies our desire to try new things and provides insight into a country’s culture. Food has turned cities into destinations and given us even more reasons to pack our suitcases and travel.

What is your opinion about food/culinary tourism?

Oh, I like traveling and while traveling trying national dishes of each country. Before my trips, I usually gain information about traditional food names of the country of my destination.

Every time I'm in a new country, I try traditional food and it's always a great experience

In recent years, many Bulgarians practice culinary tourism to Serbia, Turkey and Romania. I love Serbian grill and we often go with friends to Serbia.

Germans are said to look for something to eat all over the world that most closely resembles the food they eat at home. I believe that our nation could be more experimental. It's no wonder, the German national dish is sauerkraut.

I think you can get to know a country very well through its national cuisine. Food also has a cultural value: people from different cultures come together and enjoy a meal.
