Hi,

I would say Alma Karlin, a great traveler from Slovenia, who traveled the world in times when this still seemed impossible for a woman.

Best wishes from Slovenia,
Mojca

When I think of a woman in Italian society, I am reminded of Tina Anselmi who was the first woman to become minister of the Italian Republic and had the National Health System approved by Parliament, which provides for universal assistance for all at the expense of the state.

The first name that comes to my mind is that of our former chancellor Angela Merkel. She was the first woman in Germany's history in this position, that's why she had to deal with a lot of prejudice. However, she proved herself to be competent and managed to get re-elected in both 2013 and 2017. In 2021, she chose not to run for election, and now we have a male chancellor once again.
