Hello!
The first name I think of is Eugen Ionesco, a writer born in Romania, who was a member of the French Academy and a protagonist of theatre of the absurd.
Even if he was Romanian he spent most of his life in Paris, France.

Many Bulgarian writers lived and worked abroad. One of them is Dimitar Dimov, he lived in Madrid on Plaza de la Leltad street, meters from the world-famous Prado museum, where there is an inscription in Spanish. At that time, the idea for the novel "Condemned Souls" was born.
